Aikido Yoshinkan Brisbane Dojo is a traditional style Japanese dojo teaching Aikido and self-defence skills. The dojo was established in 1995 by Mori Shihan 8th Dan who was a direct disciple of Master Gozo Shioda in the straight stream from the founder of Aikido. The dojo welcomes adults and high school students in the basic and advanced classes Mon-Sat. We teach children over 6 yrs old in a safe and structured class with discipline and fun. Our style of Aikido, Yoshinkan, is one of the best martial arts to gain the skills of self defence, being the style trained by Riot Police and Metropolitan Police in Tokyo, suitable for women's self defence too. Aikido Yoshinkan is well-known as the Practical Style of Aikido being realistic and effective. We have a great community where people enjoy each other's company with respect.
