Mia Ceramics is a home based ceramic studio producing high quality, handmade ceramic vessels for domestic use. We have a showroom attached to the working studio where work is showcased and can be purchased. We also run different themed ceramic workshops for small groups of adults one Saturday morning a month which includes a homemade morning tea. Students learn how to make ceramic plates, platters, spoons, cups, vases and much more. They explore surface decoration, clay slab techniques, wheel throwing, glazing and firing processes. Students create 3-4 pieces at each workshop that is then fired in their choice of glazes and can be collected approximately four weeks after the course. All the pieces are stoneware fired to strength and durability with food safe glazes and are dishwasher and microwave safe.
